The best things in life are free… While the second best are still damn expensive!

New blog… Again!

Filed under: Anything goes — Joyce @ 2:21 am

This would be my _nth weblog.  Its too many that I already lost track.

I will definitely keep this one, due to many reasons:

– I wanted a site to show and develop my photography skills (got a new camera and I even bought items to create my own lightbox!)

– I need a place to vent and rant

– I have too much time in my hands right now so a weblog can keep me busy

– And many other reasons why people keep weblogs too

It should be enough reasons for me to stick with my plan of keeping this site up.

Anyway as I’ve mentioned, I bought a new camera – Canon Rebel XTi with 18-55mm lens.  Extremely happy about it. Its my Christmas gift for myself. Expensive yes, but I think I deserve it.  Its very heavy and totally different from my old digital camera yet the picture comes out clear and crisp.  I can’t wait to use it on Saturday and for New Year’s Eve party!

New Love

Old Love

I am eyeing for a Canon Speedlite flash but I really don’t need it right now.  I bought a polarizing filter for the new camera though ($8.00 shipped on eBay, hehe).  Next thing on my list is a camera bag.  Not that I wanted to make a career out of it (maybe a little bit haha!) but I do wanna make a good use of the camera.  It does not make sense if I’ll just use the Auto mode, right?  Since I am a noob with SLR camera’s, I figured a few readings might help.  I won Understanding Photography on eBay for $12.00, a book recommended by many photographers.  I can’t wait to go out and try my new hobby and toy!  🙂
